As a holistic therapist who’s worked in the industry for over twenty years, I’ve seen a huge upsurge in demand for natural, organic skincare. Many people are now mindful of the products used on their face, while some are also seeking non-toxic anti-ageing treatments.
Personally, I’ve found that clients benefit from my in-depth approach to facials. Each treatment is designed for them, using a range of ancient and modern practices.
I’ve now had the privilege of training hundreds of practitioners in delivering facials, at both Diploma and Advanced levels. The course is a blend of in-person (Brighton-based) and online learning.
Accredited Level 3 Diploma in Organic Facial Therapy
In-person, Brighton & Hove (+ online pre-learning)
My two-day, in-person training course is for therapists to complement any bodywork practice, such as massage or aromatherapy. You’ll learn an organic facial and skincare routine to provide to clients, using luxury products hand-made on the south coast of England.
The course includes massage techniques to lift and tone the muscles of the face, head, neck and shoulders. You’ll discover the benefits of using organic skincare products, and learn how to deliver a relaxing, specialised facial massage routine that:
Cleanses the face
Tones the skin
Releases facial muscle tension
Incorporates the application of a face mask
Ends with some nurturing finishing touches
As you’ll be practising on one another, you also get to indulge in a weekend of giving and receiving holistic facials to fellow practitioners. There’s some online pre-learning to complete at your own pace before the in-person sessions begin.
The course is fully accredited with ThinkTree Hub, and you’ll leave with a certificate and 15 CPD points.
Advanced Holistic Facials Training
Blended learning: in-person, Brighton & Hove + online via Zoom
This course is for students who have already completed my Diploma training, or are already trained in delivering holistic facials.Advanced Holistic Facials Training
By the end of the course you’ll have expanded your techniques and be able to provide a truly bespoke offering to your clients.
The course takes place over 2.5 days with a blend of in-person learning and online learning. There’s some online pre-learning to complete at your own pace before the in-person sessions begin. You’ll also complete case studies after the training has finished.
Course Content:
Theory: Online pre-learning. Before the live course begins, you’ll be given a link to learn the theory behind the course practice. You can take this at your own pace, but it must be completed before you start the live sessions.
Facial mapping: online via Zoom (0.5 day). Join me via Zoom for a half-day session learning ‘reflexology for the face’, as you understand how to view the face as a map, with different areas of the body showing up in plain view. You’ll discover the use of acupressure and meridian points to heal and soothe those areas. You’ll also find out how to recognise skin conditions and skin types, along with diagnosis and treatment.
Specialised massage techniques: in-person (2 days). We’ll meet in central Brighton for several hands-on sessions where you’ll learn specialist tools for delivering a natural face-lifting technique, which will end with your client feeling nourished and held. You’ll discover how to deeply lift and tone the face, neck, and shoulders. You’ll learn lymphatic drainage techniques - perfect for detoxifying the skin - and you’ll use specialist tools such as Gua Sha and cryo sticks to add an extra special something to your clients’ facials.
Plus you get to experience all the above, because you’ll be both delivering and receiving specialist facials throughout the in-person training. The course is fully accredited with ThinkTree Hub, and you’ll leave with a certificate and CPD points.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) - Training
How much of the course is in-person vs. online?
The Diploma course is two days in-person, in Brighton, with pre-learning online. The Advanced course is two days in-person, in Brighton, and half a day online (via Zoom), plus pre-learning online.
Where is the in-person training held in Brighton?
The in-person training takes place at Jing, a massage training centre in the city’s bohemian North Laine quarter, which features many independent cafés and quirky shops. It’s just a 10-minute walk from Brighton train station.
How do I access the online part of the training courses?
A link to the pre-learning will be emailed to you when you complete the sign up. You’ll also be sent the Zoom login for the Advanced course when you sign up.
What qualifications do I need to attend the courses?
For the Diploma course, you must have some kind of bodywork qualification (massage, aromatherapy etc). For the Advanced course, you must have previously taken my Diploma course, or be otherwise familiar with delivering facials.
